Scene from Concept 12 that uses all terms (Ranbir, Ruthe & Elizabeth)

FADE IN., WANDA and ALBERT are parking by the sideway.

INT- WANDA and ALBERT get out of the car and start walking down the street of Summers Dr. neighborhood
PAN of Summers Dr. neighborhood
DISSOLVED To Wanda and Albert's face.
WANDA
This is such a beautiful neighborhood
honey, why don't we just live here?

SFX of cop cars passing by.
ANGLE ON the cop car.
ALBERT
Actually, i don't think it's a very
safe neighborhood

CU close up of Wanda's face making the puppy dog eyes.

Albert
Fine, but if we get killed, it's
going to be your fault.
ECU close up of Albert's worried face.
(V.O.)
Oh no, what has Wanda gotten us
into this time..

FADE TO BLACK The end.

Concept 38 #1 & #3

1. I don't think ive ever had a conflict that they before. I've never had an ugly conflict because of the different personality.

3. Hero- loving
Crazy
Sensitive
Villain- time.
Fast & evil.

Concept 36 #3

The main conflict for the main characters is going to be that he has to remember his wife, because a while ago he got in a major accident.
Easy ways would be like performing surgery, not getting in the accident
The surgery could go wrong.

Concept 35 #1-3

1. A. Star wars
B. harry potter

2. To be honest, If I was in harry potters shoes, I'd give up. He doesn't give up until voldemort is dead. That's courageous, & I'm pretty sure I would give up against him.
Maybe if I didn't give up, I'd be scared, but I'd practice spells & make myself an awesome wizard/sorceror

3. The last time I took a risk was letting my cat sit in my lap, I have a really bad history with cats, & I've always liked them, but I didn't like going near them too much. I took a risk & let it sit in my lap. Consequences would be still being afraid. The cat didn't hurt me after all. I was definitely satisfied with the outcome.

Critique on nonlinear scripts

I read ruthes script. It's about a man that lives in a senior home. His wife passed away a whole ago so now he's alone. He goes back in time to when he's going to propose to her.
This is nonlinear because he goes back in time. Rewinding.
The conflict is him going back in time. One thing I liked was that she explains the main character in such little words. When you read it, you automatically know what kind of person he is.

Concept 34 #2

Id have to get invisibility.. To get the power I'd have to be smart.. I'd have to use my brain, & think like a villan.

Concept 32 #2

If i had to do a 30 second commercial on insuring a person's possession against damage or loss, i'd state the facts, i wouldn't make it like other commercials' where they just lie to get the audience's attention. I'd state the facts, and i'd have true customers show the audience how it is to have this type of insurance.

Concept 28

For my last birthday, i spent the whole day with my family.

INT Day- Brushing my teeth, come out to see my brother has made me a wonderful breakfast.
INT Day- At the mall with mom, shopping.
INT Day- At home, and cousin came to visit.
INT Night- At the grocery store, picking out a cake with cousin.
INT Night- At home eating pizza and just hanging out with my family.

Concept 27.

I'd have Thatcher ask his question to Linda, in a dark cemetery. We could start out as Thatcher following Linda, and then he follows her to the cemetery. I could further story by adding some action. Linda could be a vampire that goes to the cemetery every night. When she sees Thatcher, she won't recognize him, and start to fight him. Until he succeeds the fight, he can't ask her. He can't beat her, until he finds a cross on the ground. He finally beats her, and then she gives up and asks for mercy. He asks her if he can copy the algebra homework. At first she says no, but then he tells her that he'll get kicked off the team if he fails. She still says no. Then he blackmails her, saying that if she doesn't let him copy, he'll tell everyone in the school that she's a vampire. Than having no choice, she says yes.

Groundhog Day.

The movie "Groundhog Day" uses nonlinear structure by repeating the same day over and over again, until the main issue is resolved. Run Lola Run also uses the same structure, by repeating the same day over & over. In Run Lola Run, the repetition of days is only 3 days, while in Groundhog day, it's more than 3. The nonlinear structure makes the story more interesting.

Pilot Critique #4

This script was also one of my favorites. It has to do with a very common teenage issue. I really wanted to know what would happen. This was a really interesting script. The only problem it had was some grammar. Other than that, it was really good! Format was good.

Xavier's script.

This was one of my favorite scripts. I've never read or watched a story like this. The language was inappropriate, but i'm sure they can fix that. Even though it's inappropriate, it goes with the story. The suspense was amazing. It really made me think, what's going to happen next? Is the guy gonna start his young years over & make them better? I'd really like to read more scripts from this group. The format was absolutely correct. No mistakes, that i caught.

Pilot 2, 6th period.

I've always liked scripts with action in them, and this is a script that includes action. It was pretty interesting. They followed through with everything. It was a script with a twist, very interesting.

Pilot 1, 6th Period.

The story was a typical thing that would happen between friends. I liked it, even though it was common to me, it was interesting. The format was good. It got a bit confusing at times and hard for me to follow.

Critique Pilot #3

This story was interesting. It makes you want to read more & find out what's going to happen next. The format was good, but one thing they need to improve on is grammar and punctuation.

Critique Pilot #2

This story was very good, but i suggest making it more mysterious, something that will make the reader want to read more. The format was good.

Pilot Critique #1

Robby and Julianna's scene was pretty good. It has to do with youth and typical youth issues today. The format was pretty good.

Structure of eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

The structure of this film was more different than the other films we've seen. This one was more confusing than the others. It was kind of rewinding back in time like all the other nonlinear films we've seen. It also went forward to help the audience understand what's going on. Both of them had their memories erased of eachother, but then they meet at the beach & it all starts again. This movie was pretty awesome! But I did get kind of confused.

Concept 33 #1

1. Once I was in the library & i was volunteering. I was pretty confused on what to do & I didn't want to ask the person in charge because I'd feel stupid. I guess this random guy that worked there knew i was confused. So he came up to me, said hi, and started helping me out. He showed me where all the books went, & how to organize them. I thought that was really sweet, because I didn't even know him.

Reflection on Psycho

What's creative is that they put the conflict as something completely unexpected. I didn't expect the killer to be the guy dressed up as his mother. Most of the humor was only in the beginning, well at least that's what i noticed.

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Concept 25 #3

My logline would have to do with my baby brother & baby cousin doing something stupid, but funny, in the house.

Monday, October 31, 2011

Horror Movies.

1. Insidious
2. When a stranger calls
3. My bloody valentine
4. IT.
5. Strangers
6. Halloween
7. Jason
8. Nightmare on Elm st.
9. Inception
10. Saw

What makes a horror story great is putting in things that the reader would least expect, things that you know would give them an adrenaline rush.

They usually put people or monsters coming out of nowhere when its dead quiet.

Lost Pilot Script

He reveals the characters just by their actions. When you read what they're doing, you can tell right away what kind of people they are & what kinds of personalities they have. You can tell Jack is a hero because it shows that he's trying to help everyone. You can tell that kate is a strong woman because she overcomes her fears. Hurly is the california guy. Boone likes to please everyone. Hurley talks more like he has nothing to worry about, while Jack is more professional in a way & does worry. This reveals that they are 2 different people.

Concept 24 #3

I have been surprised. In final destination 3, the death is over. It skipped a couple of people, so they decide that now there's nothing to do, but at the very end, death comes back for the people it skipped.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Concept 23 #3

3. I want to write a story about criminal activity, and a murder. The governing objective behind them would be to keep their murders a secret, not letting anyone find out, and just living a normal life after they commit the murders. They won't let any obstacles get in the way, they won't let their love life get in the middle of this.

Desperate Housewives

1. Gabriella, Carlos, Edith
2. There's conflict between the husband and wife. Also that a lady blew the brains out of the other lady.
3. The characters do talk differently. They all have their own personalities. It does push the story forward.

Concept 22 #3

Our film is more plot driven than character driven. The events that happen cause the characters to be a certain way. The newspaper that has all the evidence, the jock cheating on 5 different girls.

Monday, October 24, 2011

Pilot- What makes your characters unique?

Our characters aren't the typical high school characters. Usually you would see the typical group of girls as the popular pretty ones. They are popular and pretty, but they aren't girly. Only one is. The other 2 are more unique. They have their own personalities.

The problem for our characters is they get cheated on by one jock, and their all friends, but they don't know they're being cheated on.

My So Called Life

Some ideas we could use for the show is romance. The girl getting with some unexpected.
Some ideas that don't appeal to me are the typical girl getting with the guy she likes. In tv shows, the girl that likes the guy a lot, always gets the guy. Its common. So i would use something unexpected.

Monday, October 17, 2011

Ruthe & Ranbir.

1. Not too much of clicks, but more about minorities. We don't want to see basketball/ footballs players anymore. We want diversity!!! Talking about all different groups. YAY FOR DIVERSITY!
2. The premise for our show would be minorities such as, rockers & hip-hop kids. Our characters would be alex- who is a tall rocker boy and he hates hip hop.
shawn- is a hip hop who hates rock.

Concept 19 # 3

3. One issue in life is kids doing drugs illegally. This is issue is really common. Kids having been consuming alcohol and drugs more. The level is increasing. I find it really stupid. For one thing, alcohol and drugs ruin your life. Also, its illegal for young adults.

Concept 18 #2

Some of William Shakespeare's plays that have been adapted to movies are:
Romeo and Juliet
Timon of Athens
All night long
Catch My soul

Titus Andronicus was the most successful at the box office.

Concept 16 #2

2. If i could hang out with one of them, i would hang out with the kid that's always in detention. I'd  probably be in detention with him and i would talk about why he does bad things to get himself in trouble. I would go to BJ's. Also i could see him as a good friend for life, because i think once i get to know him, it'll be easier to communicate with him. I could talk about the things he likes which would make him happy to be my friend.

Charles Foster Kane

One detail I know about him is that he was married twice and divorced twice. His first marriage was with the niece of the president of the United States. His second marriage was with a singer. In between, he also had an affair with a lady while he was married. Another detail I have was he was adopted. A man named Charles Thatcher who was a banker, took him away from his family when he was just a little kid.

Freaks and Geeks Reflection

My favorite episode so far was the pilot. All the other ones were good too, but the first one was my favorite. It was my favorite because it introduced me to all the characters. It got me used to all the episodes. That's why it was my favorite.

Dialogue

LINDSAY
Hey mom, i was wondering if i could
ask you something?
MOM
Sure honey, what do you need?
LINDSAY
I was wondering if i could dye my hair,
color blonde?
MOM
(laughing) No way sweet heart.
DAD
One of my friends in high school dyed his hair.
You wanna know what happened to him?
HE DIED!
LINDSAY
Oh my gosh, what’s the worst that could go
wrong? I just wanna dye it!
MOM
That’s just not you honey. You’ve always
loved your hair color.
LINDSAY
Mom.. please.
MOM
Fine, but this is the first & last
time i’m letting you do this!

Characters Uniqueness.

Sam- He has a high level vocabulary. Smart and more mature.
Daniel- Immature, jokes about sex.
Karen- Rude tone, isn't very nice.
Kim- Rude, instigator.
Bill- Smart, quiet, high vocab.
Neal- Caring.
Nick- Slob, but nice.
Millie- Nervous.

Questions freaks and geeks

1. Lindsay cares about her family and is really outgoing once she knows what she's in.

2. When she eggs her brother by accident.

3. They all experienced something sad on this night.

Concept 10 #1-3

1. I feel I know the subject of love. Love stories would be one of my most well known topics. Could write a story about love.

2. Resources that would be available to me could be like using the Internet, or watching films that relate to the topic.

3. I feel I know subjects. One of the least known to me could be mystery or crime. I could make a really short story with these subjects but not a script. I could make a conflict in the script, but I wouldn't really know how to add trials that the main character would have to go through.

Concept 9 #1

1. The top 3 movies are Avatar, Titanic, and The Dark Knight".
For the first movie, Sam Worthington (Jake Sully) is the main character.
The second movie, the conflict is the ship sinking.
The 3rd movie, the setting takes place in Gotham City.

A way that i could put it together is that, Jake Sully has to be security in a ship that's in Gotham City. This has been his dream job for years. His first day begins and he works there. He finds a girl whom is beautiful, and it's love at first sight. They fall in love. One day, a man with a gun appears and kills the woman that Jake loves. He vows to find the man and kill him for killing the woman he loves. Hours later, the power in the ships turns off. It suddenly starts sinking. He falls down in the water. He starts drowning because he can't swim. He looks down, and sees his love of his life.

Concept 8 #1 & 3

1. For my scene it would be after the raider's football game. Orlando and Reese are walking down the streets of Oakland, and their talking. Orlando tells Reese how he feels about her, that he's in love with her. She tells him that she loves him too. Suddenly, Orlando takes out a gun, an AK-47 and points it at Reese. He tells her that he only loves her for her money. He says that if she doesn't take all of her money out of her bank and gives it to him by 48 hours, then she will suffer the consequences.

2. A priest is walking down the alleys of New York. He stops at a cemetery. He's depressed. He thinks in his mind that he cannot take it anymore. He's done to many sins to be a priest. He knows that god will not forgive him. He takes his chocolate donut, and grabs a bottle from his pocket. He tells himself "I'm sorry god, please forgive me." He opens the bottle, it has a horrifying scent. It's a bottle of poison. He gets it and puts it on his donut. He eats the donut. Suddenly, he feels a burn inside his stomach and feels like vomiting. He coughs up blood, and falls to the ground of the cemetery. He's dead.

"Freaks and Geeks" scene.

Lindsay argues with Alan, not wanting him to beat up her brother.

ALAN
I'm going to beat you up you little
wimp. Your dead!

SAM
Leave me alone Alan!

LINDSAY
Hey why don't you fight me huh?

ALAN
Oh so weird's sister's here to protect him huh?

LINDSAY
I'm not here to protect him.. i'm here to beat you up!
I'm tired of you picking on innocent little kids!

ALAN
Your sister's psycho

Lindsay slowly walks up to Alan.. she looks at his face and punches him. Alan stumbles to the ground.

ALAN
What's your problem you freak?!

LINDSAY
My problem is you picking on kids!

ALAN
Lets get out of here.. Weir.. your sister's crazy!
And your dead queer! Watch out!

Alan and his friends leave.. Sam is pretty upset with Lindsay for helping him out.

High School Television Shows

I like 8 simple rules, because it has to do with romance, drama, and comedy. It's a mix.
I like the secret life of the american teenager, because you get to see the point of view of a girl being pregnant at 15 and what she has to go through.
I like pretty little liars because it's a lot of drama and mystery.

Short Script Reflection

In my script, i think the best scene i did was when the teddy bear grabbed his machete and started walking slowly towards Leonardo. I think that was the most creative that i was in the in the script. My worst seen was when the teddy bear fell down and started crying. I think i could have added more conflict to the script. I was creative though.

Concept 6

1a..There were 3 characters, two of them in their 30's and one in his 50's, and 2 males and one female.
2a. There was one location. It was a hill.
3a. A couple were walking, and they entered a man's land by accident. The man told them to leave & the husband said let's fight for this land, but the old man refused. They almost started walking away when the old man said let's fight for it, but this time he had a gun in his hand. He shot the husband, and then the wife as well.
4a. It was 5 mins, and the film was okay, but i think there was no reason to shoot the innocent couple.

2. No, the problem wasn't too big, and it was ended with a simple solution. The problem couldn't be increased.
3. My favorite feature film would be "beastly". My favorite scene from the movie, is when the main character, Kyle, finds out that his love interest, Lindy, loves roses. So he decides to make a green house on the roof of the condo that his dad bought for him, because kyle finds out that lindy loves roses. Up there, they study a poem. I find that scene really sweet and romantic.
